RL (Real Life) image

My RL image displays my average days route, process and the whereabouts of my human interaction.
The image is of a plan view of central Wellington, specifically Victoria Universities Te Aro campus
and close surroundings. Photos from ground level display views from the main streets that I travel down.
All photos are taken from cuba street. The yellow lines represent the main streets I travel through each day.

After researching various random design orientated blogs, I have found three interesting

blog pages that are of relevance to design and design processes. www.poppytalk.blogspot.com is an intriguing page, which more so addresses design in its page layout. This page consists of a plain white background

with clear large text over top of the white. Each link is coloured, which is effective in drawing attention to hyperlinks. www.machinedesign.com talks about methods of model and mock-up construction. www.coroflot.com is a interesting blog as it addresses designers work ethics and processes of going about projects.

recent project process

The objective of this project was to produce two well crafted and refined 3 dimensional models. The first model was to be constructed from thin card. The second model, was to be a refined, transformed design, of replication to my first card model. However the material was to be a thin wire. I went through the process of exploring multiple conceptual designs, after I carried out thorough research on geometrical structures and compositions. I selected two conceptual designs and continuously developed them to produce my final design. I believe my models were successful as they were visually appealing, they addressed the requirements for the project and displayed high levels of attention to detail in craft. I chose to blog about this project because I believe I implemented a good structural design process which was simple, effective and eventually proved to be a rewarding process.
